Mysterious snow levels reported on Orcas

In Olga, John Willis reported an inch and a half of snow. Islanders at Point Lawrence, just four miles from the Willis property, had 17 inches.

During the peak of the storm on Feb. 25 diverse levels of snow were reported throughout Orcas Island.

There was also 17 inches of snow on the side of Buck Mountain. Residents on Mt.Woolard reported 10 to 12 inches. At the end of Obstruction Point there was less then 1 inch. Enchanted Forest Road experienced 8 to 10 inches. The North shore had 5 to 6 inches. Killebrew Lake – 6 inches. The Ferry Landing – 0 inches.
