After a 17-game season that saw the Saints win two tournaments, tie for second place in a third tournament and finish the season 14-3, they defeated the Frasier Valley Eagles 40-37 indoors at the Bellingham Sports Plex.

“The kids love to play indoors on the artificial turf,” said Coach Lonnie Sanders, “and this day it was pouring and gail-force winds outside that made this game even more enjoyable.”

Over the last 5 years the Saints have never lost a game indoors.

“I’m a little sad the season is over,” said guard Halley Parnell.

“I’m a senior and this was probably my last competitive flag football game but I’ll always remember the Santa Cruz tournament and hanging out on the boardwalk with my teammates as well as the games under the lights.”
