John Baker, who is known for his work with community theatre and his pen and ink drawings, has been diagnosed with cancer of the liver, stomach lining, colon, and lungs.

Baker, who works at Ace Hardware, is being treated at Swedish Medical Center.

Baker is the father of two grown sons. His artwork can currently be seen at Jillery in Eastsound.

A fund has been set up at Key Bank under the name “John Baker.” The community can also donate funds at the front counter of Ace Hardware.
