Evan Fraser will release his new CD “Organica” at the Orcas Island Grange at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, June 28, Fraser and Tbird Luv will play a fusion of world sounds from 8 to 9:30 p.m. There will be a short slideshow afterwards to raise awareness about Tbird and Evan’s documentary film project “One Cause, Many Voices.” Doors will open at 7:30 p.m.
Fraser, an Orcas Island native, received a Bachelors of Fine Artsdegree from the California Institute of the Arts in 2003. Since then he has been touring, teaching, and living in the San Francisco Bay Area. His mission is to inspire and bring people together through sustainable living and music.
Tbird’s experiences of world travel, combined with a classical music foundation from Carnegie Mellon University and World Music and Dance foundation at Cal Arts, gave her the skills and inspiration to develop a unique style of conveying music through flute and voice.
Fraser and Luv will also perform at the Orcas Center’s Blackbox Theater on Sunday, June 29. For more information Call 376-5359.
