Talk with ferry system leaders about current issues

State ferry system managers are cruising Puget Sound to hear from the public about their experiences and suggestions for the nation’s largest ferry system.

Washington State Ferries (WSF) is holding a series of community meetings to provide information, answer questions and hear public comments on a variety of issues, including current operations, system efficiencies and reform, the 2011 legislative session, the new vessel program and WSF’s action plan in response to the Passenger Vessel Association report.

“I’m looking forward to this round of community discussions,” said David Moseley, Assistant Secretary for WSF. “We have a lot of important issues to talk about with our customers and communities as we head into 2011.”

The community meeting in the San Juan Islands is on Tuesday, Dec. 14 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the San Juan County Council, 55 Second Street, Friday Harbor.

The meeting will be streamed live on the San Juan County website: here
