Peak season ferry and parking rates begin May 1

Washington State Ferries’ peak season begins Sunday, May 1, with an additional 25 percent surcharge applied to full fare vehicle/driver tickets (35 percent on the Anacortes/San Juan Islands routes). The peak season surcharge does not affect passenger fares or frequent user multi-ride fares.

Examples of peak surcharge include: Anacortes to Friday Harbor: $39.85 through April 30, rising to $53.80 after May 1.

In a departure from previous years, there will be no peak season surcharge for passengers on the Anacortes/San Juan Islands routes; there is no longer day-of-the-week pricing in the San Juans; and the system-wide ending date for the peak season surcharge is now Sept. 30 instead of the second Saturday in October.

Also on May 1, the prices for the Anacortes terminal parking lot will be changed to summer rates as follows: $10 per day; $20 for 48 hours/2 days; $25 for 72 hours/3 days; $30 for 96 hours/4 days; $40 for one week /7 days; $50 for eight days; $60 for nine days; $70 for 10 days; $80 for 14 days; $90 for 15 days; $100 for 16 days; $110 for 17 days; $120 for 21 days; $90 for a calendar month permit; $350 for the seasonal permit (5/1-9/30); and $20 per 24 hours for RVs.
