A group of local artists calling their photographic artwork NEBULOUSart will display pieces at Doe Bay Cafe during the month of October.

“It’s such a brand new concept that it is literally being born with every act toward its direction,” said artist Carol Losleben. “Relatively new to the island (July 2008), from Southwest Florida, we are excited to present this avant garde medium on Orcas.”

“This is exciting cutting-edge art… NEBULOUSart is reflective art,” she said. “It’s performance art that is photographed in real-time. It’s not the type of performance that you buy a ticket and attend, it’s a creation process and a capture process… It is born when light, color and water unite in a light-controlled studio environment. The results are not digitally enhanced, nor are special effects applied via a computer.”

The Doe Bay display will be comprised of 11 photographic stretched canvases and four framed and matted pieces. Nature photography from the Doe Bay area will also be shown.

NEBULOUSart has been on display at the Eclipse Charters Eastsound store for the past four months.
