May 4

• A deputy was dispatched to a report of dogs at large in Friday Harbor. The owner of the dogs was issued a warning letter.

• Deputies responded to a threats call from an Eastsound resident. When Deputies arrived at the residence it was determined the matter is an ongoing civil issue.

• Deputies were dispatched to a fraud incident in Eastsound. They contacted the reporting party.

• A deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of Argyle Avenue and Grover Street in Friday Harbor for failing to wear safety belt. The driver was issued an infraction.

• A deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of Blair Avenue and Park Street. The male driver did not have a valid driver’s

license or vehicle insurance and had switched license plates from another vehicle. He was issued infractions for the three violations.

• A San Juan Island woman was reported missing when she did not show up for work. She was located a short time later.

• A deputy was dispatched to a theft from an Eastsound business from a known suspect. The suspect left the business and returned several times. The suspect was arrested.

May 5

• A deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of Spring Street and First Street in Friday Harbor. The female driver was not wearing her safety belt and was issued an infraction.

• A deputy received a report of a vehicle prowl that occurred in Friday Harbor. Only a hat was taken.

• A deputy stopped a vehicle on Spring Street in Friday Harbor. The female driver was not wearing her safety belt and was issued an infraction.

• A deputy initiated a traffic stop in Friday Harbor and the driver was issued an infraction for failure to wear a seatbelt.

• A deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of Mullis Street and Spring Street in Friday Harbor. The male driver was not wearing his safety belt and was issued an infraction.

• An Orcas man arrived at the substation and reported an incident involving harassment. The man requested no investigation but a report was taken.

• A deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of the Argyle Avenue and Webb Street in Friday Harbor. The male driver was

not wearing his safety belt and was issued a traffic infraction for failure to wear a safety belt and not having a driver’s license on his person.

• Three male subjects over 21 were drinking beer on the beach. They were contacted and checked for wants and warrants. They put away the beer.

May 6

• A deputy initiated a traffic stop in Friday Harbor and the driver was issued an infraction for no valid operating license and warned for speeding.

• A deputy was dispatched to a report of theft in Friday Harbor.

• A deputy was dispatched to a report of theft of services in Friday Harbor. There were fees owed and later paid to the reporting party. No charges were pursued.

• A deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of Marguerite Place and Spring Street in Friday Harbor. The female driver was not wearing her safety belt and was issued an infraction.

• A deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of First Street and West Street in Friday Harbor. The driver was issued an infraction for not wearing a safety belt and not having a valid operator license with ID.

• A deputy initiated a traffic stop in Friday Harbor and the driver was issued an infraction for failure to wear seat belt.

• A deputy issued an infraction to a driver for speeding 38 MPH in the posted 25 MPH zone in the 600 block of Argyle Avenue in Friday Harbor.

• A Lopez deputy responded to a harassment complaint between a landlord and a tenant. The involved parties agreed to communicate civilly until the tenant vacates the premesis.

• A deputy in Friday Harbor received a report of a boating accident. One of the involved persons was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

• A deputy stopped a vehicle on Second Street in Friday Harbor. The driver was not wearing his safety belt. Driver did not have a valid driver’s license and had a 3-year-old in the front seat without a child restraint. The driver was cited for all three violations.

• A reporting deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor area in reference to harassment. The reporting deputy contacted the involved parties and requested that they not contact each other. They agreed.

• A deputy stopped a vehicle on Second Street in the Town of Friday Harbor. The deputy had cited the driver for not having a valid operator license 30 minutes prior and he drove past the deputy again in a different vehicle. He was cited again for the same infraction.

• A deputy was dispatched to a theft in the San Juan Island area. The deputy contacted the victim who had money taken from their residence. No suspect information at this time.

• Deputies responded to the Port Of Friday Harbor to investigate a domestic assault. A female was arrested for assault.

May 7

• A deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor area in reference to an unwanted person. The subject was in a local business, driving other customers away. The subject was contacted but refused to leave. The subject was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

• A Lopez deputy checked on a reporter traffic hazard, a low-hanging tree over the southbound lane of Center Rd. Public works had been notified.

May 8

• A deputy was dispatched to a malicious mischief complaint in the San Juan area.

May 9

• A subject entered a Friday Harbor residence without permission. The homeowners woke to a strange man in their house and told him to leave. The man stated his friend used to live at the residence, apologized and

left without incident.

• Deputies were dispatched to the Orcas ferry landing in reference to a ferry that was en-route from Anacortes with an unruly juvenile on board. Deputies were able to calm the juvenile down and was reunited with his parent.

• San Juan County Sheriff’s Office was advised by Customs and Border Protection of a vehicle arriving on the ferry from Canada with two individuals who were in violation of an order of protection.

• Deputies were dispatched to an Eastsound residence in reference to a welfare check. Deputies arrived and resolved the matter without having to take any action.

• A Lopez deputy was dispatched for a single vehicle collision involving a vehicle leaving the roadway and landing in a front yard. No injuries reported, but there was property damage. The driver was cited for not having a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

May 10

• A deputy in Friday Harbor initiated a traffic stop and the driver was issued an infraction for failure to wear a seat belt.

• A deputy initiated a traffic stop in Friday Harbor and the driver was issued an infraction for failure to wear a seat belt and warned for no proof of insurance.

• A deputy initiated a traffic stop in Friday Harbor and the driver was issued an infraction for failure to wear a seat belt.
