There will be free well-child checks at the Orcas Family Health Center on Tuesday, Aug. 25, Tuesday, Sept. 29, and Tuesday, Oct. 27 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Orcas Family Health Center.

Well Child Checks offer an opportunity to evaluate and monitor a child’s growth and development, and are a crucial part of a child’s total health care.

Each child will be individually assessed and depending his her or her needs the well child check may include: Height and weight measurements, immunization review and update, vision and hearing screening, physical exam, and pre-participation sports physical.

This is the third year that the Orcas Family Health Center has offered free well child clinics. They are possible thanks to a grant from the United Way Foundation of San Juan County.
