NAS Whidbey plans for more training – and more flyovers

The skies may be getting a lot noisier over Lopez and San Juan.

The Navy plans to increase training for Washington-based crews in its Northwest Training Range Complex off the coasts of Washington, Oregon and northern California. This means that aircraft from the Whidbey Island Naval Air Station will be flying more frequently, particularly over south San Juan Island and south Lopez Island.
