The Funhouse is 10 years old – birthday celebration on Sept. 10

Hard to believe it, but the hand-painted doors of the Funhouse opened a decade ago this month, after more than a year of construction and volunteer commitment.

Hard to believe it, but the hand-painted doors of the Funhouse opened a decade ago this month, after more than a year of construction and volunteer commitment.

In honor of this anniversary, The Funhouse is having a Fall Birthday Party and Open House on Sept. 10 from 3 to 6 p.m.

This is a chance for families to stop in and grab a free hot dog, apple cider, a cupcake, and renew their family memberships.

Visitors can sign up for a raffle to win free classes, memberships and other prizes.

It’s also an invitation to come in, look around, and learn about what The Funhouse does for the community. Funhouse staff will be on-hand to tell you about the successful after school, teen night, mentor and education programs.

Memberships are the life-blood of The Funhouse. And since everyone in the community benefits from the programs, The Funhouse needs everyone’s support — even from those who don’t have children.

For a decade now, no one has ever been turned away from The Funhouse, or any Funhouse program, for lack of funds. The Funhouse reminds everyone that if money is an issue, this is a great opportunity to come in and fill out a scholarship application.

The Funhouse welcomes you to stop by on Friday, Sept. 10 to help them celebrate 10 years of excitement, wonder and service, and get ready for the decade to come.
