The Ninth Annual Funhouse Science Fair will be held Saturday, March 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Funhouse on Orcas Island.
It’s an event full of exciting and unusual projects and demonstrations, with entries extending beyond Orcas to include all of the San Juans.
There’s still time to sign up. All school-age children are welcome to participate. The Funhouse has a library of science books and staff to help kids find the perfect idea.
For the fourth year in a row, The Funhouse is awarding $2,000 in scholarships to the top three high school student entries. Awards and science prizes will also be given to all participants, including the prized best-of-show “Ritchie Moore Rocket Ship of Wonder” award.
The fair is free and open to the public.
