The Healing Arts Center welcomes the community to attend its Fall Healing Arts Fair on Saturday and Sunday, May 6–7.
For this fundraiser, offered twice a year, practitioners donate their services, and all proceeds support the nonprofit organization that maintains the historic Eastsound building. The greatly discounted rates allow clients to try out new services and providers.
Different styles of massage and bodywork are offered, as well as acupuncture. In addition, one of the Center’s newest team members, Mara Williams, a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner who specializes in hard-to-treat chronic illnesses such as Lyme Disease, is offering 1-hour health consultations. Nutritional therapist Stephanie Brening, who has also joined the center this month, is offering a one-hour workshop on digestion, called “Boost your Microbiome – Understanding Your Gut.” Herbalist Kristy Bredin is offering a class in which you’ll learn to make your own sea salt.
The fair will likely fill quickly; you can call the Healing Arts Center at 376-4002 or stop by 453 North Beach Road between 9 and 3, Monday through Friday, to sign up. For more information on the practitioners, visit www.orcashealingarts.org.
