The Music Committee and Emmanuel Episcopal Parish will present musician extraordinaire Martin Lund at the final Brown Bag concert of the season on Wednesday, Aug. 23.
Lund is a versatile composer, arranger and musician who plays many instruments – piano, flute, saxophone, clarinet, accordion– in many styles, including classical, jazz, blues, rock and country. Lund is regularly featured in productions at the Orcas Center and every year hosts local musicians in his One World Music concerts.
Lund loves to surprise the audience, so bring your friends, guests, neighbors, and a brown bag lunch, for a fun-filled musical escape. The concert begins promptly at noon; plan to arrive early as seating is limited.
There is no charge for the concert but donations are accepted for the Virgil Cleveland Memorial Scholarship that provides the opportunity for a promising music student from Orcas to attend music camp. The music Committee awarded five music scholarships to this summer’s music camps.
