Lady Vikings lose to Lady Panthers at state

The team will play again today in the loser's bracket.

In their first time at state playoffs since 2000, the Orcas Lady Vikings were pinned down by the White Pass Lady Panthers, losing 51-24 at the Spokane Arena Wednesday night.

Coach Terry Moran-Hodge commented, “We came out rattled at the size of the place, and our shooting was immediately off … we only scored 11 percent throughout all four quarters. And the Lady Panthers ran the roughest defense on we’ve ever encountered. Despite this, we still kept our heads in the game, but couldn’t catch up point-wise.”

The Orcas Lady Vikings play again today, Thursday, March 5, in the loser’s bracket at 12:30 p.m., at the Spokane Arena.
