The San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau reports that the several major publications have highlighted Eastsound – and the San Juans – as a destination.
Eastsound is on National Geographic Traveler magazine’s “Top 100 Adventure Towns” list. The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce and the Visitors Bureau has been working on this submission for quite a while. Read the story to see which Orcas Island businesses are featured.
Eastsound has also been honored by the Seattle Times as one of “Washington’s best: Five top towns for outdoor jocks and nature lovers.”
In “Haven for History: Venture to Friday Harbor, Washington” in the September/October issue of American Spiritmagazine many businesses and organizations are covered, including the San Juan Island National Historical Park, The Whale Museum, Roche Harbor and the Sculpture Park. An interview with Sandy Strehlou, Friday Harbor’s historic preservation coordinator, is a large part of the story.
All three islands are featured in the September/October issue of Bridal Guide magazine. The September issue of Smart Meetings magazine promotes bringing meetings to the San Juan Islands and mentions scheduling events at the San Juan Islands Museum of Art and Sculpture Park.
