Orcas Family Health Center and Dr. Shinstrom are proud to present its tenth annual fundraiser to benefit the OFHC’s “Care For All” program.
Despite the Orcas hospital taxing district’s hard work toward laying the groundwork as to how funds will be disbursed to local clinics, OFHC still provides care to those in our community who have no insurance or are underinsured. Those services still cost our rural health clinic money and your donations and participation in our fundraiser to make caring for all possible.
Everyone is invited to attend a fun and festive evening at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3 at Orcas Center. Board members rent the facility, pay for and provide the food, the music and local businesses and individuals donate fantastic items for a silent auction. All monies raised at this annual event go to the “Care For All” program. The purchase of a $25 ticket provides attendees a wonderful homemade meal of meat or vegetarian lasagna, bread, salad, dessert with cash wine bar.
Music is provided by favorite local swing band “Orcatrazz” — a true “big band” with twenty musicians playing dance music — from swing to twists, cha-chas, waltzes and more. You don’t have to be a dancer to attend and enjoy the music and fellowship. The other fun aspect is people can dress up in lovely gowns and tuxes or come in blue jeans and Hawaiian shirts. Be comfortable!
In addition to the excellent food and music, there is a silent auction where all kinds of items from glassware to oil changes can be won.
