This Saturday, June 7, the Energy Fair was held at the Village Green. It was sponsored by OPALCO and Islands Energy and led by the San Juan Islands Conservation District. There was also a tour of three Orcas homes with solar electric systems and a home energy conservation workshop.  Free energy saving kits, prizes, workshops, solar crafts, and live music were highlights of the fair. There were also electric vehicles and demonstrations of energy technologies.
