Submitted by the Orcas Island Community Foundation.
OICF is excited to announce a call for proposals for the 2021 spring GiveOrcas grant program. Nonprofits serving Orcas Island are invited to apply now through March 5th, 2021 to be included. Applications will be vetted by the OICF Community Grants Committee; successful applications will be featured in the GiveOrcas grant catalog scheduled to be online May 3-17, 2021. Read about the application process and download forms from our website: https://oicf.us/nonprofits/annual-grants/for-grant-applicants/
All applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss their proposal ideas with OICF before submission. Read the grant guidelines and FAQ on our website. An informational meeting will be held from 3-4 PM on Wednesday, February 17th via Zoom to learn about the application process, answer questions, and explain our funding campaign strategies. Applicants for this year’s GiveOrcas grant cycle should plan to send at least one representative to this meeting.
OICF’s mission is to enhance and preserve the quality of life on Orcas Island. To accomplish this goal, OICF distributes funds from the Community Endowment on an annual basis and the grants are supplemented with funds from our “Partners in Philanthropy” through the GiveOrcas two-week campaign in the spring. In 2020 we distributed $229,100 through this process. For more information contact: Hilary Canty or Kate Long at 360-376-6423 or kate@oicf.us. The catalog will be available online from May 3-17, 2021.
