The 40th Annual Shaw Island Classic Sailboat Race will be held Saturday, August 7, 2010. Sponsor San Juan Island Yacht Club invites all eligible boats and crews to participate.

Racers will start from Friday Harbor and then circumnavigate Shaw Island (in either direction), finishing back at Friday Harbor in time for a hearty lasagna dinner and awards presentation.

The race is open to multihulls, un-ballasted centerboards, registered PHRF boats and cruising sailboats of all sizes and rigs. Classes will be provided for multihulls, centerboards, PHRF and cruising classes.

Trophies will be awarded for the first three finishers in each class based on corrected time, adjusted for time-on-time based on PHRF or committee-assigned ratings.
