Join us for a fun morning of unique and memorable stories of days past on Orcas. The focus will be on what the island was like back in the 1970s through the 1990s. Why? Because HISTORY LIVES IN US!

How is Orcas different now? Consider the fire hall, the clinic, “back to the landers” and hippies, and of course, the ferry system. Our panel consists of people whose family lived here for generations as well as people who arrived here in the 1980s or 1990s. We want a diverse perspective of island life 30-50 years ago. In the fall, we also hope to be able to do this in person where we will focus on an earlier time period. Everyone is invited, you do not have to be a member of the Orcas Island Genealogy Club to attend. Join us on Zoom, Tuesday, May 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The club meets (virtually during the pandemic) on the third Tuesday of every month from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and is hosted by the Orcas Island Public Library.
