The Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant on the residence of Jason Buehler of Orcas Island in regards to the theft and of numerous items that were reported missing during burglaries starting the first of December 2021.

Numerous items including jewelry, power equipment and medical first aid kit and supplies were recovered. Buehler was later located and arrested for theft in the second degree and possession of stolen property in the second degree and booked into jail on San Juan Island.

The Sheriff’s Office believes this is the individual responsible for burglarizing the businesses in Eastsound over the last couple of months. Our investigation continues to determine if there were other residences or businesses burglarized and if there are other accomplices involved.
