With a mid-term resignation from Commissioner Janet Marlow, the Board of Fire Commissioners is seeking candidates to fill the unexpired term.

The board will conduct a public process including advertising, interviewing and selecting a candidate to fill the seat by May 2, 2022. The selected candidate will serve as an appointed commissioner on the board, with a public election taking place on the seat in the November 2023 General Election. At that time the publicly elected commissioner will complete the remainder of the term through December 2025.

Interested candidates and members of the public are encouraged to attend the Board of Fire Commissioner meetings to learn more. The next Board of Fire Commissioners meeting is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 5:30 p.m. online via Zoom.
