To the school board and our island community,

When the members of the school board dropped off the thank you cards and the news that everyone at the school would be receiving a $1000 bonus, there was quite a warm buzz around the school buildings. It came as quite a pleasant surprise. The school board members thanked everyone they could personally and acknowledged the strain faced by the school district’s staff during the pandemic. Having passed through the uncharted waters of the last two years, our school team continued to provide the best education possible to our students and we are all proud of that fact.

We would like to publicly thank the school board for this bonus as well as the hardworking taxpayers that make this possible. We are proud of the passion of our members over the last two years and the remarkable innovations they made during remote, hybrid and in-person learning. We hope to continue to earn the respect of our community through our dedication to excellence as educators and commitment to giving our very best for our island kids.
