Local non profit, Sherwood Community Services, recently took over as the only provider of employment supports to individuals with disabilities throughout San Juan County.
“There was an immediate need, and we couldn’t ignore these high school graduates and adults who needed our support. Our team knew we needed to be there” said Lance Morehouse, Sherwood CEO. Morehouse and the Board of Directors made the mission driven decision to move into San Juan County to meet the critical need of supports to those with disabilities in the County.Sherwood, founded in 1957, provides Early Intervention and Vocational supports to children and adults with disabilities throughout Snohomish, Skagit, Island and now San Juan Counties.Meet the new team, supporting individuals in need of Employment and Community Inclusion services, at their upcoming Online Grand Opening event on May 17 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Visit www.sherwoodcs.org/events to register for FREE.
