The OPAL Gala kicks off at noon this Friday, June 24 and runs through Sunday, June 26. The theme for this year, Celebrating the Roots of Home, refers to OPAL’s return to the work of creating homes and neighborhoods for islanders.

As OPAL looks to the future of homeownership on Orcas, it sees the need to generate opportunities for everyone. Rental housing tailored to island wages creates security. Homeownership allows for stability and the possibility to build wealth. If they want to, OPAL is helping residents move from one stage to the next, an important step in supporting a healthy community.
