The former Judge John Linde (deceased) was honored on June 29 by the San Juan County Council, who dedicated the Superior Courtroom in the San Juan County courthouse to Linde. According to the council’s proclamation, a memorial plaque was placed in the courtroom “to remain in the public view there in perpetuity so that all who enter will know the significant contribution that the Honorable John O. Linde made to the furtherance of justice for the benefit of the citizens of this County”.

Linde was mourned by many when he died in Hawaii on December 3, at the age of 62.
