Thursday, September 8 at 7 p.m.– Improv! Music! Comedy! David and Ken, the award-winning comedic duo love making up songs based on your suggestions. Get ready for music styles from Radiohead to Reggae with unexpected, clever and often ridiculous lyrics. Who knows, you may get your own personalized love song or help inspire the next catchy anthem about sustainable tofu farms!
Friday, September 9 at 7 p.m.– The Paperboys The Paperboys have been touring the world and lighting up stages with their freewheeling blend of influences from Celtic and bluegrass, to Mexican son jarocho, brass bands, and Canadian roots.
September 15 – 23 at 7 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee on September 18– The Cake A play by Bekah Brunstetter in Orcas Center’s Black Box Theatre. Della the baker makes cakes, not judgement calls – those she leaves to her husband, Tim. But when the young woman she helped raise comes back home to North Carolina to get married, and the fiance is actually a fiancee, Della’s life gets turned upside down. She can’t really make a cake for such a wedding, can she?
Friday, September 30 at 7 p.m. – Karrin Allyson Five-time Grammy nominated jazz vocalist, pianist, and songwriter Karrin Allyson, is widely recognized as one of the most gifted voices of her generation. With fifteen albums under her belt, she has built a mastery of The Great American Songbook, blues, pop, be-‐bop, Brazilian, and French chansons, to name a few.
