Each patient is assigned a dedicated care team with a Board-certified physician, nurse, social worker, spiritual counselor and other service providers as needed. As experts in the field, Hospice of the Northwest’s staff focus on you, your needs and your goals, while also supporting your loved ones.
There are many things to consider, and it’s more important to focus on making the most of each day — not fussing with paperwork or worrying about resources. Stay in your own home
Most importantly, staff can discuss how they can help you stay in the home you love – where you’ve lived many of the important moments in your life and where you’re most comfortable. Many people believe hospice care is only for the last week or two of someone’s life, but most patients qualify much earlier in their journey with a life-limiting illness.
Hospice focuses on quality of life, allowing you to live on your own terms. The cost of hospice care is covered by Medicare and most other insurances. Hospice of the Northwest is owned by two public hospital districts and receives additional funding from a non-profit foundation.
