I worked with Julie Knight and IOSA for 20 years, and I can honestly say I’ve never known another human with the depth of love and compassion for all living things. Julie is the sweetest, most loving, kind person and her intelligence and ability to handle many things at once are known by all who worked with her. The stories to illustrate her huge heart and commitment range from saving a nest of tiny newborn mice found on a ferry to driving all the way to Eastern Washington to take a wayward pelican who lost her way and ended up in Fisherman Bay on Lopez. I love Julie with all my heart and have the deepest respect and awe for her. The earth is made much more beautiful with a spirit like Julie being here. She deserves as much support as we can give her in every way we can. She has saved hundreds of creatures and given her whole life to healing everything and everyone she can. She IS Love.
