Thank you, Michael Bried | Letter

My daughter, Amanda, suffered a critical sledding accident during a winter storm several years ago when she was a high school junior. Gratefully, EMTs Dave Zoeller and Rita Harvey brought her to the Medical Center. Michael was the doctor on duty and I choose to call him a doctor, not a physician assistant. I was concerned because I had never met him and the situation was very serious. We were not sure if she was flying to Seattle or Bellingham. Michael secured a friend and colleague, Dr. Baader, a plastic surgeon he had worked with before. She was rushed into immediate surgery at St. Joe’s Hospital. Dr. Baader praised Michael and told us that Michael was capable of doing the surgery and how fortunate we were to work with Michael. Her recovery was a slow process and Michael kept in touch with her and gave us support. To this day he always askes how Amanda is doing.

On that day we could not have been in better care than Dave Zoeller, Rita Harvey and Michael Bried.

Thank you Michael for your compassion and your expertise.

We wish you the very best.
