Paul Turner | Passages

Longtime Orcas Island resident Paul Turner peacefully fell asleep in death on April 26, 2023 with his family by his side. Paul had battled heart disease for many years. Paul grew up in the Seattle area and went to the University of Washington.

Paul met his wife Jacqueline in 1973 and lived in the Redmond area for 25 years. They made the move to Deer Harbor on Orcas Island in 2002 along with their boys Michael and Jacob, shortly after Riley Turner, their grandson joined them. Paul started volunteering at the Fire Department and eventually became the Deputy Fire Marshall for the San Juan Islands.

A memorial will be held June 4, 2023 at 4 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Eastsound. A reception will follow from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. There is also the option to Zoom in to the memorial.
