Join us for the first Art Show of 2024 at Orcas Center, showcasing the art of our dedicated Visual Arts Committee. About 20 years ago, a group of artists decided to take up the task of creating art exhibits at Orcas Center, and The Visual Arts Committee was born! These amazing volunteers spend hundreds of hours each year working with community members, artists and cultural groups to bring compelling shows to the center. For the first show of 2024, join us in celebrating the work of our current VAC committee members: Kathleen Youngren, Leon Rosenblatt, Mary Jane Elgin, Julia Summers, Sarah Crigger, Zoe Osenbach, Carol Ann Anderson, Kirk Nozaki, Whitney Chamberlin, Marjorie Taylor, and Julie Rusby.

Due to adverse (but beautiful) weather, the VAC Opening Exhibit originally scheduled for this Friday has been postponed until Friday, January 26 at 5:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, and musical entertainment will be provided by Ron Myers on the piano. The Visual Arts Committee exhibit will be on display at Orcas Center through Jan. 19 – Feb. 21.
