This November please vote YES to renew the real estate excise tax for the Conservation Land Bank and associated fund for affordable housing. These are paid by the buyer of real estate and not the seller. Land Bank preserves allow us to experience the unique landscape of the islands, and provides protection of natural habitat and critical water recharge areas. The Land Bank leases over 500 acres to farmers and protects 1,300 acres of private farmland..Since 2018 the housing REET has raised over 13 million dollars for affordable housing, a critical issue in the islands. Please vote YES!
