BoDaLo Trio will perform at Brown Bag series

At noon on Aug. 12 the BoDaLo Trio will perform at the Brown Bag Concert Series at Emmanuel Church in Eastsound. The group includes Bob Littlewood on clarinet, Dale Heisinger on cello, and Louellen McCoy on piano.

The BoDaLo’s program this week will include Bach’s Six Sonatas, a trio by Louise Farrence, Eight Pieces by Max Bruch, Cole Porter’s “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “They Can’t Take That Away From Me” by George Gershwin, and “Oblivion” by Astor Piazzolla.

Bob Littlewood plays in the Orcas Community Band, the Island Sinfonia, the Orcatrazz Swing Band, and various chamber groups.

A retired physician from Bellingham, Dale Heisinger played with the Whatcom Symphony. Dale also plays with the Island Sinfonia and local chamber groups.

Louellen McCoy has lived on Orcas with her husband, Miles, for 48 years. Louellen has played for a variety of groups on Orcas, including many Brown Bag Concerts and many years with the Orcas Choral Society.

The Brown bag Concert Series is free of charge. Donations are welcome to the Emmanuel Music Committee’s fund which provides a scholarship to music camp for one young Orcas musician each summer.
