Join Susan Slapin for an inspiring journey into creativity. Slapin is a seasoned artist, poet and mentor with years of teaching experience. Open to all skill levels, this class emphasizes visual arts while incorporating writing and poetry as complementary elements. Held at the Orcas Center for $20 per session, each class offers a space to explore curiosity, introspection and self-expression.

Through weekly prompts, exercises and a touch of music, we’ll dive into curiosity, introspection and self-expression. Sessions begin with light stretching, followed by meditation, sketching, writing and improvisation. Slapin will guide you with fresh prompts each week to nurture your creative voice. Bring a sketchbook, writing materials and any art tools you have – pencils, pens, charcoal, markers or personal inspiration like photos and magazines.
