Grammy-award winning artists Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel will be performing at the Lopez Center for Community and the Arts on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m.
Tingstad and Rumbel have performed, recorded and toured together for more than 22 years and have produced 19 albums. Traveling to as many as 70 concert venues a year, they are friends who enjoy each other`s company and truly love making music.
Eric and Nancy began their collaboration in 1985. Their debut album, The Gift, quickly became a holiday classic. The next 20 years saw countless reviews including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Billboard and number one debuts on radio charts. In 1998, their album “American Acoustic” was honored as the Acoustic Instrumental Album of the Year and they received a Grammy Award for their album “Acoustic Garden.”
Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for youth at the Community Center office and online. They may also be purchased at Paper Scissors on the Rock, Blossom Grocery, Islehaven Books and Islandale Southender.
