You may have watched the construction this winter of a new permanent labyrinth on the grounds of Emmanuel Episcopal Parish. We are pleased to announce its completion and extend our welcome to come walk the labyrinth.
Last November, the land was blessed by representatives of the Samish tribe and on May 15 of this year, the labyrinth itself will be blessed. This is a gift intended for the whole island. Indeed, it has been built from the hearts and support of both community and parish members alike and is open to all.
We invited you to walk anytime, day or night, using the labyrinth to refresh or deepen your life’s journey. Feel free to pick up a brochure on how to walk the labyrinth from the container located on the outside pillar of the parish hall. A number of upcoming opportunities are listed below for which the labyrinth may be a helpful tool: season of lent through April 23; full moon on March 19; spring’s arrival on March 20; Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, April 22, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m; Easter on April 24.
