Youth Golf Clinic at Orcas Golf Club

High school golf coach Bobby Olmsted will teach golf skills for children ages 10 and up at the Youth Golf Clinic at Orcas Golf Club, Mondays and Wednesdays, June 22 to July 8 from 10 to 11 a.m. Golfers may stick around for an extra half hour after the clinic for additional golfing. Chipping, putting, proper form, and fun will be had. Beginners and those with golf experience are welcome. The cost is $55. Day Camp for children ages three to six

Boys and girls ages three to six will get together at this annual Orcas Island Recreation Program camp for outside and inside activities at Salmonberry School June 22 to 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Activities include games, stories, puzzles, music, art projects, dress-up theater play, building, and playing with new friends. Parents are welcome to drop off their children or stay and have fun. Snacks will be provided. Registration is by the week or by the day. Pre-registration is appreciated but drop-ins are allowed. Skyhawks Multi-Sports Camp

The largest provider of youth sports programs in the country is coming to Orcas Island. The Skyhawks Multi-Sports Camp provides opportunities for participants to gain experience in several sports including soccer, baseball, and basketball. There is no pressure, just lots of fun, while young athletes participate in all three sports through unique Skyhawks games. The camp for boys and girls ages seven to 12 runs during the first week of public school vacation, June 22 to 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Buck Park.
