From 1991 to 2008 many island families participated in a parent/child playgroup facilitated by Kathi Ciskowski. Although the people and venues changed, the basic activity format remained the same for all groups. On Saturday, May 16 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the new Benson Hall on the waterfront in Eastsound, there will be a gathering for all of the parents (and children) who participated in the group.

Bread will be formed and baked and around that there will be a meal together. Pictures and stories of the children will be shared. Family connections that began in the group will be honored.

Participants are asked to bring a salad to go with the bread. Also bring a penny jar (coins only) from home to combine with others to divide equally among the four local preschools. Contact Kathi Ciskowski at 376-4186 for more information.
