The Orcas Island Cancer Support Group is open to all who are affected by cancer whether as a patient, survivor, family member or friend of someone with cancer. The group is a no-cost confidential program that meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Fireside Room of the Community Church at 5 p.m. This last year there were presentations by Mark O’Neill, Rena Patty, Dr. Jim Litch, Dr. Rachel Bishop and representatives from the American Cancer Society.

“We have been honored to have such highly qualified guest speakers who have provided valuable information on varied topics,” say organizers. We strive to provide courage for the journey, joy in the healing and hope for the future.”

Call Bogdan or Carol at 376-4198 for more information about the group.
