Kelli Linville, Representative of the 42nd Legislative district, which shares Whatcom County with the 40th District, said, “While this was a hard-fought primary, it is now important that we get behind our nominee Kevin Ranker. His experience as a local elected official and his significant understanding of issues from throughout the region will allow him to hit the ground running. He has my full support, and I look forward to working with him in Olympia.”

Outgoing State Senator, Harriet Spanel echoed the call for unity and expressed her support for Kevin Ranker. “I have worked with Kevin on a variety of issues. I know that he will use his experience, energy and enthusiasm to serve our area well as our State Senator.”

Dave Quall, current 40th District Representative, joined his seatmate Jeff Morris in supporting Kevin Ranker. “Kevin Ranker brings a deep knowledge of the important challenges that face our community in areas such as education, the economy, and the environment.
