County offices closed July 5 due to employee furloughs

Most of the county's non-judicial offices will be closed Tuesday, July 5, the third of the county’s five budget-related employee furlough days.

Most of San Juan County’s non-judicial offices will be closed Tuesday, July 5, the third of the county’s five budget-related employee furlough days.

Emergency services and offices with operating dates mandated by the state will remain open. Those include the Sheriff’s Office, Prosecuting Attorney, County Clerk, the District and Superior Courts and court-related offices.

The county solid waste facility on Lopez Island will be closed for employee furloughs on Wednesday, July 6. The solid waste facilities San Juan Island and Orcas Island will be closed on Friday, July 8.

County Parks will remain open for camping and recreation, however, the parks’ administrative office will be closed.
