Orcas Christian School junior Jordan Griffin was the victim of a snowboarding accident on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
The sixteen-year-old was with friends at the golf course when he fell while snowboarding off a jump they had built. He broke his neck and was flown to Harborview in Seattle, where he underwent surgery on Thursday, Dec. 18. His c-six vertebrate was removed and replaced with a titanium rod. He is paralyzed from the chest down.
