Orcas Islander Merrick Parnell has just been named the Public Address Announcer for British Columbia’s Delta Islanders Box Lacrosse Team. According to Parnell, the B.C. Lacrosse League is one level below the National Lacrosse League and is played inside a hockey rink and is very similar to hockey.

Coach Scott Harris said the game highlights included a two run homer by Aliviah Garcia, two for two hitting by Lana Bronn and Alicia Susol, three hits by Alenna Garcia, three RBIs by Kirsten Fowler and two RBIs by Katie Holley.
First year head coach and Orcas alumni Justin Taylor has been with Viking golf since the beginning, having participated on the first Viking golf team in 1997.
