Rubbing shoulders with gorgeous vacation destinations like Australia’s Lord Howe Island; Hawaii’s Keahiakawelo, on the island of Lanai; and Namje, Nepal, the tiny village is described as “a great blend of hippie kids mixed in with older hikers and naturalists.” Doe Bay Resort, with its “small clutch of yurts, campsites and old-fashioned cabins sprinkled through the woods and along the shore,” sauna and hot- and cold-water soaking pools, is listed as the area’s main attraction.
