The Barnacle in Eastsound reopened on Jan. 15 under the care of new proprietors Tara Anderson and Michael Cleveland, pictured here.

The couple signed on as partners with owner Jared Lovejoy, who is transitioning ownership fully in to focus more on his work with the film community.

“I am really excited to be partnering with Tara and Mike, who are not only my neighbors but great friends,” said Lovejoy. “They will be buying me out over the coming months, and they will be adding some very cool new ideas to the bar experience that I’m excited to see happen.”

This is the third business the couple has owned together in their 11 years of marriage.

The Barnacle offers a cozy setting serving small plates and craft cocktails. Anderson and Cleveland will host their debut event on Valentine’s Day featuring a full four-course aphrodisiac themed dinner menu prepared by guest Chef de Cuisine Chris Moller from Inn at Ship Bay.
