Rolland (Rollie) Rueb, Washington Federal’s Eastsound Branch Manager, has been given the company’s lifetime achievement award.
During its recent Leadership Conference in Seattle, Rueb was given the Summit Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions made over an individual’s career. He is only the fifth recipient in Washington Federal’s history to earn this distinction.
Rueb has spent the better part of a life at Washington Federal: nearly four decades. He opened the Eastsound branch in 1975 and has since grown the branch so that it enjoys nearly a 40 percent deposit market share on Orcas Island. Rueb also generates almost $2 million a month in mortgage loans, “a testament to his integrity and the respect he’s earned within his community,” say Washington Federal representatives.
The Eastsound branch has also earned recognition as the best-performing branch within Washington Federal four out of the last eight years by winning the Washington Federal Cup.
“We are pleased to be able to honor Rollie in this fashion and to recognize the contribution he has made to our organization’s success,” said Roy Whitehead, Chairman, President and CEO of Washington Federal.
Washington Federal operates 160 offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Texas and New Mexico. Established in 1917, the company provides residential real estate loans, commercial real estate financing, consumer deposit accounts and business banking.
