On Friday, June 4, North Shore Charters, owned and operated by Marty Mead, gifted seven island kids with an evening on the water.

This was the second time Captain Marty has shared his love of the sea and talent for fishing with some of these boys. Elijah, Cody, Douglas, Chase, Nick L., Danny, Nick H. and I wish to say thank you to Captain Marty for both his generosity of the time he spent and his inspiration of the great outdoors in the San Juans.

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect although rain had been predicted. The surprise of catching not only fish, but a large star-fish and some “really fast cruis’n” between Marty’s favorite fishing spots caused some major grins on the faces of the Fishing Crew.
