New manager of the Odd Fellows Hall | Letter

Dear Orcas Island Community,

With great enthusiasm, I am happy to share with you that I am the new manager of the Odd Fellows Hall. Following in the footsteps of women and men who have taken care of our much loved community treasure since the 1800s, it is truly an honor, and I will give my best for the place to thrive as one of our community hubs.

On behalf of the Odd Fellows, we would like to thank Learner, Natalie, Clint, and the Food Coop for their management of the Hall through Covid-times until now.

If you have suggestions for the use of the space upstairs and in the kitchen or would like to be a volunteer to help with repairs and maintenance or at events, put on a dance or concert, teach a class, have a birthday party, a memorial (free of charge), get married, or have a private or public event at the Odd Fellows Hall, reach out at www.oddshall.org or 360.376.5640.

Thanks to the generosity of our community and beyond, through the OICF Give Orcas campaign, we have a new deck! We are excited about our plans for making the place even better!

We have a commercial kitchen downstairs available to rent for people to gather and cook with friends. In March, Kainan resumes serving delicious meals on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and The Kitchen (Jasmine and Charles) will be open on Fridays in March and April. We’re looking for folks who have all the necessary permits to create breakfast, lunch, or dinner for the public.

We’ll see you at the Halloween Dance, Community Thanksgiving, on the dance floor, at the downstairs kitchen for tasty food, and at our community events and celebrations at the Odd Fellows Hall!

Enthusiastically,

Didier Gincig

Hall Manager, Odd Fellows Hall
